It's free for PSPlus subs at the moment.ġ0/11 Assassin's Creed:Syndicate (PS4) (+DLC) Moved this along my list as I returned to it to do some of the DLC. But it just felt slow and I felt like some of my jumps were frustrated by some poor camera angles. I really loved the look of the game and it must look stunning in VR. This sort of thing is right up my street usually. Here's hoping for more adventures with Chloe and Nadine.ġ8/11 Bound (PS4) I don't know why this left me so cold. #Hexcells rock paper shotgun series#It's possibly the best looking game in the series as well. For those worried about it's length it's a lot longer than Left Behind clocking in at around seven or eight hours. It made for an incredibly tight experience. These were a steal at 49c each - I recommend picking them up before the Steam Halloween sale ends.Ģ5/11 Uncharted:the Lost Legacy (PS4) SHorter then Uncharted 4 and all the better for it. ![]() There are always multiple puzzle items in play this time, so I found you need the hint system a bit more when it's time to switch between them and you can't find the next part of a solution. #Hexcells rock paper shotgun crack#This felt like an ultimate stakes Lovecraftian version of the Crystal Maze, as you're transported seemingly through time and space every time you crack one of its many rooms. The Room Two - again, played this one in a single sitting. Beautifully designed mechanical puzzle boxes within boxes in a Lovecraftian setting. The Room - I found this utterly compelling, and in hindsight shouldn't have started playing it at 3am. I got lucky with some epic loot drops, but it quickly got outclassed as the levels went by so I'd have to stop and grind out the same loot again to keep up, which doesn't seem like a fun prospect I never felt like my loot ever got epiiiiic in this one due to the way the leveling system seems to progress so quickly. Same story trying the DLC with this one, but I think I've had my fill of this series after about 74 hours of fun across both games. Headshot city playing as the sniper character again, and my character from the first game also plays a major role in this, which was nice (and my character in this game has popped up in Tales From the Borderlands, which I'm currently playing). The badass points system was a nice touch to give you more incentive to try a range of weapons and tactics, the system with different ranks of enemies improved the variety of fighting grunt enemies and in general the world just feels bigger and bolder than before. Started playing some of the DLC missions after the end, but again the missions were just a bit meh and I'm not bothered about grinding for epic loot in the same way I would be for a Monster Hunter, where the What You Actually Do bit of the game is fun for thousands of hours and there's no level system to gradually make your gear obsolete.īorderlands 2 - this feels so much better than the first one, great Quality Of Life improvements (the first one was crying out for a minimap) except the inventory, which felt less convenient being split up. Shoot your way through this area, collect X things, kill a boss, yeah ok.Įnded up blasting my way through the final stages switching between fire and corrosion sniper rifles, with infinitely regenerating ammo, backed up by an epic SMG which blasted 4 shots at a time at 12 rounds per second for crowd control. Playing as the sniper character, I was in headshot heaven and enjoyed the loot progression even though the missions themselves weren't up to much. It's a little bit janky on PC, config file tweaking required to fix the FOV and that sort of thing. #Hexcells rock paper shotgun ps2#Rez Infinite - the new area is lovely and adds some more cracking tunes, but it's a pity they've completely destroyed the mix of the original game (compared to the PS2 version, which melts your face off, relatively speaking)īorderlands - I didn't want to play the sequel without having played this first and I wish I'd known what kind of game it was back in its day, as the whole looter shooter thing passed me by and this series seems to be a genre in itself. cheap.īattlefield: Bad Company 2 - wise-cracking shootmans with vehicle bits. #Hexcells rock paper shotgun Pc#Since getting a decent PC for the first time in 17 years I've built up an instant backlog of about 60 game. ![]()
